Carl Hansen & Son - a family story

Carl Hansen & Son is the company behind many classical furniture designs by leading figures of the Danish Modern movement including Hans J. Wegner and Arne Jacobsen. Commissioned to produce a film on the brand history we decided to focus on the incredible story of Ella Hansen who rebelled against traditional gender roles in the 1960s and lead the company after her husbands death. To tell the emotional family story we produced a short fiction film mixed with stock footage and memories of a crucial time in the companies history. Read more here at Carl Hansen & Son
